PR Racing Kawasaki rider Jed Metcher will miss out on the official test and round one of the championship due to a technicality with his visa, which means he has had to return to Australia before he can race in the UK. The team were informed that Metcher is not allowed to take part in any activities relating to British Superbikes including test and promotional days, until the visa issues are resolved.
Since the team were alerted of the issues with Jed’s visa we have worked closely with his management, BSB organisers and UK emigration to try and resolve the problem quickly. Despite our best efforts and to our disappointment the issues could not be resolved from the UK, the application for the Visa can only be accepted from Australia.
Team Manager John Jameson commented. ”This technicality only came to light on our return from testing in Cartagena. When we arrived back in the UK Jed was informed (by emigration) he has the wrong type of visa. The paperwork is now all correct and in place, Jed has returned to Australia on Sunday the 21st of March awaiting for the visa to be processed.”
The team are now working hard behind the scenes to ensure we have a strong package for Jed when he returns. Our aim is to be joining the 2015 BSB MCE Insurance Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch for Round 2.
PR Racing would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support for the 2015. We look forward to using and promoting your products throughout the season.
